Narrow Aisle Forklift
Utilized to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage areas which are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This particular type is suitable for work places with narrow spaces between aisles, like for example retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering easy.
The operator of this type of forklift generally stands up in a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as narrow ans short as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: two in the front, and one in the rear. This configuration enables for fast and easy maneuvering. There are several models of these forklifts which are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment could pivot to the sides, permitting the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole equipment. The sit-down version normally has four wheels.
Many narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Electric-powered machinery do not produce exhaust fumes and are quiet, making them the suitable alternative for closed areas such as retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. Then again, the diesel version is not recommended to be used indoors since it can produce exhaust and be noisy.
